UVic Engineering Students' Society Office

Great student society and welcoming environment! The ESS is run by students for students on an elected basis with an emphasis on events and student support. The executive team is a great resource for information and advice on anything from academics to club activities to general nerd things. The ESS works closely with engineering clubs and other student unions to organize mixers and events for the student body as well as one charity event per term.Some of the services the ESS provides are free coffee (if you bring your own mug), free snacks on special occasions, slushies on Fridays, past midterms and exams, open events such as movie nights and board games, networking, and much more depending on the term. The open door policy allows the office to double as a lounge to relax and chat with other engineering students. The microwaves and other utilities are also free to use.The merch can be seen right outside the office and can be purchased inside at a fair price. The society is non-profit and sells items as close to cost as possible. The sweaters are comfy and jacket orders go through once a term.
